Sports Club Partnerships
Physiotherapy-Led Partnerships for Safer, Stronger Community Sport
At Lifespan Therapies, we partner with local sporting clubs across Brendale and the Moreton Bay region to strengthen injury prevention, growth-stage load management and long-term athletic development.
Our partnerships are physiotherapy-led and supported by our broader allied health team, helping clubs build confident, capable and inclusive sporting environments.
Where Injury Prevention Meets Inclusion
Participation is more than attendance — it requires physical safety, confident coaching and environments where young athletes can develop skills without fear of exclusion or overload.
We work with clubs committed to strengthening both performance and inclusion — ensuring athletes are supported physically, emotionally and socially within their sporting environments.
Injury Prevention & Performance Support
Young athletes are not small adults — training demands must adapt to growth and development.
Growing athletes experience rapid physical change. Without the right support, this can lead to preventable injury and frustration.
We support clubs with:
• Pre-season movement screening clinics
• Growth-related injury education (Sever’s, Osgood-Schlatter, etc.)
• Load management guidance
• Return-to-play planning
• On-site physio availability at sign-on days or events
• Strength and conditioning education
Our focus is reducing injury risk while supporting long-term athletic development.
Upskilling Coaches & Committees
Sport is shaped by more than drills and tactics — it is shaped by coaching language, expectations and team culture.
Coaching practices significantly influence athlete confidence, retention and long-term participation.
We provide practical education sessions for coaches and committees on:
• Recognising injury risk in growing athletes
• Warm-up structures that reduce injury
• Coaching through declarative language
• Reducing demand-based conflict
• Supporting neurodivergent athletes in team environments
• Sensory regulation strategies during training
• Adapting drills for different physical abilities
These sessions are practical, non-judgemental and built for real-world application.
Building Inclusive Sporting Environments
Inclusion is not simply having an athlete “on the team.”
It requires practical adjustments, clear communication and confident coaching.
We support clubs to:
Adapt drills without singling athletes out
Build psychologically safe team cultures
Reduce adolescent dropout
Support athletes with disability
Strengthen collaboration between families and coaches
Our team integrates physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech pathology to support physical, communication and regulation needs within sport.
