Supporting Children to Move, Regulate and Communicate with Confidence

At Lifespan Therapies, our physiotherapists, occupational therapists and speech pathologists work collaboratively to support meaningful participation across home, school and community environments.

Whether concerns relate to movement, communication, regulation or daily skills, our shared goal remains the same — helping children build confidence, capability and independence in everyday life.

Our Therapy Disciplines

Each discipline plays a distinct role in supporting your child’s development — and we collaborate when a combined approach will best support progress.

Physiotherapy

Supports children with:

• Gross motor development
• Strength and coordination
• Sports injury rehabilitation
• Physical confidence and participation

Occupational Therapy

Supports children with:

• Fine motor skills
• Self-care and daily living skills
• Sensory regulation
• School readiness and classroom participation

Speech Pathology

Supports children with:

• Speech clarity
• Language development
• Social communication
• Feeding and oral motor skills

Intensive Programs

High-frequency, goal-directed therapy designed for children who would benefit from more focused, time-intense support.

Some children make the greatest progress when therapy is delivered over a shorter period, with increased frequency and structured repetition.

Our intensive programs are delivered by experienced physiotherapists and occupational therapists, with clear goals, measurable outcomes and close collaboration with families.

Intensive therapy is not about “doing more” — it is about providing the right level of support at the right time.

When intensive therapy may be helpful

  • Progress has plateaued with weekly therapy

  • A specific functional or mobility goal is being targeted

  • A child is preparing for a transition (school, equipment, surgery or growth phase)

  • Families are seeking a time-limited, structured block of therapy

Our team works closely with families to determine whether an intensive block is appropriate and how it fits within your child’s broader therapy plan.

How Lifespan Therapies Supports Families

Every family’s situation is different. Some are seeking reassurance. Others need structured, ongoing support. Many are simply unsure where to begin.

Our approach is consistent across physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech pathology:

• Collaborative and family-centred
• Focused on participation in everyday life
• Strength-based and practical
• Calm, clear and free from fear-based messaging
• Grounded in real-world environments — home, school and sport

We don’t believe therapy should feel overwhelming or overly clinical. Our goal is to provide clarity, build confidence and support meaningful progress — at a pace that feels right for your child and your family.
