Prudie White

Physiotherapist

Hi, I’m Prudie and I am a physiotherapist who graduated from ACU in 2022. I joined the Lifespan Therapies team in 2022 as an Allied Health Assistant after completing a 5-week placement here, and then continued as a physio once I completed my studies.

Working at Lifespan introduced me to an exciting new area of practice in paediatrics, where I feel that I am able to progress the skills and knowledge that I gained at uni to best support families to achieve their child’s goals.

I like to work with a wide range of children who are of different ages and have different abilities. Whether it be trying to sit up independently or working on complex ball skills, everyone has a goal that is important to them, and therefore these will be prioritised during sessions. I have a special interest in neurodevelopment and rehabilitation because of the improvements that can be seen each week with repetitive practice. It is rewarding to play any part in achieving lifelong milestones for a child and their families.

My work prior to being a physio included learn to swim teaching and coaching. This background helps during hydrotherapy, which is a favourite area of mine, as I recognise the importance of achieving water safety as best as possible. I also have training in DMI Level A.

Outside of work, I spend my time training and racing in triathlons. I also love to travel, be outside, and stay active with my dogs.

Additional training

  • Dynamic Movement Intervention Level A, Level B & Level C

  • MAT Evaluation and Complex Seating

  • Toe Walking In-Depth Applications using an Etiological Approach
